Description: I am currently involved in the implementation of i2 Demand Management Solution at Dole. Project: Inventory Optimization.

Description: This project involved creating a Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization solution. This solution allows customers to model their supply and delivery networks, and reduce the overall inventory cost, while maintaining high customer service levels.
My role is that of a Development Lead, responsible for participating in client visits to gather requirements; providing inputs to and signing off on the detailed requirement documents; and participating in the overall solution design. I am also solely responsible for the overall technical design, development mobilization, training and the timely delivery of this product. For this project, we used (and extending) a Business Modeling framework developed based on the Struts Framework.

Project: Siemens Mobile, Staging Database Implementation.

Overview: We developed a staging database at Siemens that acts as a data consolidation and cleansing interface between i2's planning products and external ERP systems.
Description: Siemens requires a data staging, cleansing and consolidating platform, which will act as an intermediary between the i2 Planning sub-systems and the external operational (ERP) systems. The scope of work also involves creating different UI workflows to facilitate data management in the staging area. The staging database was implemented using an Oracle database, while the web based UI, was implemented using JSP, HTML & JAVASCRIPT with WebLogic as the app-server.
My role in this project was that of a Development Lead, responsible for understanding the requirements, providing the overall design, mobilizing and mentoring the development resources and overseeing the development of the product.

This work involved exposure to various different platforms, compilers and debugging tools mentioned in the skill set on one hand and interaction with the customer to understand their problems on the other. The work also involved working with third parties, usually the OS vendors to work out specific problems with their compilers or libraries.

Overview: Our team was responsible for creating an In-Memory multi dimensional OLAP database engine.
Description: i2's Demand Planner is an OLAP engine and a forecasting tool. Our project was to add the facility to carve out a section of the OLAP database and provide real time access/update features by maintaining the data in memory. For this we had to create a small, optimized OLAP engine from scratch. This involved writing portable C++ code to be run on at least 4 different platforms and providing a platform independent API interface using CORBA.
